CW Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading equities-focused investment firm to hire an Application Support Engineer. This role will support the firm’s in-house trading and analytics tools, ensuring stability, monitoring, and support for key business lines including equities trading, risk, portfolio visualization, and market data.

The Role

• Monitor and automate application and infrastructure alerts, reacting quickly to issues
• Ensure system stability and uptime for all tools under management, including application and infrastructure/cloud monitoring
• Troubleshoot and support user queries across the equities trading teams
• Identify areas for improvement, assess business risk, and prioritize remediation
• Administer handoffs to other regions and follow up as necessary
• Flexibility to work weekends or shifts for releases and meetings
• Build subject matter expertise and become the go-to person for your area of responsibility

Experience Required

• Basic knowledge of equities products and experience interacting with portfolio managers/traders
• 5+ years professional experience in Python, Unix/shell scripting, and SQL
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka, Maven, AWS) is desirable but not mandatory
• Self-starter with ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies (public cloud, serverless architecture, etc.)
• Highly motivated with strong ownership and problem-solving skills
